Vegan, gluten-free, healthy, easy, quick, delicious…I personally could live on this gorgeous, low-maintenance recipe! Perfect paired with a yummy curry, or with a hundred other things, this recipe needs to be a staple in your kitchen. Super filling and fragrant, this recipe serves two so adjust accordingly if you need more or less. Bear in mind, rice can be dodgy to leave sitting around, so best to make what you need and eat it fresh.

Ingredients:
> 300g of Rice, uncooked (you can use any rice actually, although some arguably are better than others – still, I used brown rice for mine and it worked).
> 1 TSP Vegetable Oil.
> 1 TSP Vegan Butter (or substitute another TSP of oil).
> 1 TSP Cumin Seeds.
> 6 Cardamom Pods.
> 6 Cloves.
> 2 TSP Ground Turmeric.
> 2 Bay Leaves.
> Salt.
> Ground Black Pepper.

Method:
1) It’s as easy as putting all the ingredients into a pot/saucepan, covering well with water, bringing to the boil, and then allowing the mix to simmer for 20-30 minutes. Once cooked to your taste, drain and serve. Bon appétit!
